Stacked Bar Graphs in Python

Let's say you want to make a stacked bar graph.
Using matplotlib we can use the bar function:

matplotlib.pyplot.bar(left, height, width=0.8, bottom=None, hold=None, **kwargs)

The bars will then be rectangles bounded by edges defined by:
  • left edge: left,
  • right edge: left + width
  • bottom edge: bottom
  • top edge: bottom + height

Example: The below function needs the data (time vector and observation vector) passed to it
def freqfitscore(inputs,timevec,obsvec):

We import the function as "score" and pass the data to it during the optimization by using the arguments slot
a=fmin(score,guess,args=(timevec,obsvec),full_output=1)
